THE PROJECT>

For this project, we upgraded the interior of a client’s AW 109. We repaired damage to several plastic pieces, rewrapped the paneling, and provided new carpets.

We removed the paneling from the sliding doors, ceiling, and bulkhead trims, stripping all pieces down to their base plastic. We then got to work making repairs on the broken seat surroundings - after that was complete, we wrapped all the exposed plastics in Olympus White vinyl.

This helicopter’s old carpet was replaced with a new set of Black City carpets. The previous carpets were a tawny color with the lower surrounds of the footwell sporting a faux walnut finish. We tinted those walnut areas, as well as the sliding door accent trims, with a gloss black finish. The carpets we provided included a secondary rear flooring mat and pieces in the forward cabin to cover the surrounds of the sunken footwell and the center console.

Our team also performed a deep clean and valet of the cabin and cockpit interior, which included cleaning and conditioning each leather seat covering. All the seat belts were rewebbed, and the seat buckles and latches were reconditioned. The two rear cabin sill plates - with the Augusta Grand insignia etched into them - were cleaned and polished before we applied a final clean protective coating.
