SUMMARY >

This Cessna 172L aircraft belongs to a client in Canada. Generation Global was engaged to supply a set of brand-new interior sidewall linings and a full floor covering set. Generation Global was able to match the new interior parts to the existing interior colorings as well catering to some custom design requests.

The sidewall trim panels are supplied as a complete fabricated kit which includes the shaped backing panels as well as the upholstery. The two forward sidewall panels are fabricated using computer-cut pressed aluminum and include a rolled lip along the edge where the panels meet the windows.

The upholstery trim on the panels was custom designed to match the exterior of the aircraft. The design on the panels mirrors the same swirl as is seen in the graphics of the aircraft's paint scheme. The sidewalls were manufactured using titanium grey microfibre leather through the central panel and the top layer of the sidewall used marine leather (SF-104).

The bottom section of the sidewall was covered in carpet. Royal carpet (WN-120) was used and the edges were bound in titanium grey microfibre leather. A clear pocket was sewn into the forward kick panel for storage of flight documentation. Also supplied were the armrests in the titanium grey microfibre leather with matching stitching.

The floor covering set supplied for this aircraft was also matched in the royal-colored carpet on the sidewalls and was edged with a matching blue mesh binding. The carpet sections include heel mats fitted to high-wear areas to protect the carpet.
