Highly customised Cessna 206 Stationair

This project involved a full interior refurbishment by Generation Global of a Cessna 206 Stationair aircraft. The interior was from floor to ceiling, the carpets, sidewalls, seating, and plastics. The seating configuration of this aircraft consists of the three rows of seating, the two crew seats, a middle row of seats and the rear seats which are accessed through double doors. The seat upholstery was also manufactured in ‘Samt Beige’ leather with matching double stitching. All the seats followed the original Stationair style from the 1975-86 designs, featuring centre inserts with horizontal seams and perforated (SP1). The seat backrests had the Cessna logo embossed into the upper portion of the seat backs.

The sidewalls were manufactured in  ‘Samt beige’ (ADI-4231) leather and the carpet extends up to the lower portion of the sidewall. The leather section is divided into three panels with two seams that run horizontally along the length of the aircraft, with the centre panel perforated. This project included customised armrests manufactured from selected timber and finished with a clear lacquer. The top of the armrest was finished with a matching  leather arm-pad. 

The plastics panels in this aircraft were all wrapped in an ‘Ivory’ coloured synthetic leather. Wrapping of the plastic panel needs to be done very carefully including exceptional preparation, as the window panels are very well lit and, any defect in the wrapping would show up clearly. 

The floor coverings were manufactured in a lightweight nylon airline carpet in in colour ‘Slate’ (888)  which has a fine ribbed look. The floor coverings were edged in a matching mesh binding.

Other areas refurbished include the door draft excluder strips in matching leather, pull handles, headlining, decals, and the resurfacing of the instrument panel. To complete the whole refurbishment, the aircraft was completed with a full external fly-away kit including air intake bungs and pitot covers.
