Modern Cessna 172 seats covers and cushions

THE PROJECT>

For this project, our team at Generation Global supplied and fitted new covers and cushions to the seating in a client’s Cessna 172. The seats were removed from the aircraft by the client, who sent them to us to be professionally recovered.

These seats were made following the most modern seat design (1996+) offered by Cessna. We made their new covers from Savannah Caledonian leather (SX007). The circular inserts on each seat back and bottom feature leather that has been perforated with HP1 perforation.

The stitching, while it blends in well with the leatherwork, also helps accentuate each seat’s shape. Each circular insert is intersected by a circular stitch line, which is most prominently seen in the middle of the rear bench seat.
