AS350 Seating

THE PROJECT >

This project included Generation Global supplying new crew and rear pax seat upholstery for an AS350 helicopter. These interior parts are supplied as a kitset and can be simply installed to the interior using velcro attachments. These parts are design approved by EASA, CASA and NZCAA meaning they can be installed on aircraft in almost every country globally. These seats were Gen III seating design which is one of the most popular of the four designs available for the AS350 Helicopter. The Gen III rear pax seats are high back seats with the ‘doughnut style’ headrests. The crew seats are low-back and fit into the factory seat shells.

The seat covers were manufactured using black (ADI-1091) aviation leather. The leather in the centre insert panels was perforated which gives increased breathability for the occupants. The graceful lines of the cover’s seams are highlighted by silver top stitching.  

THE CLIENT >

This helicopter is an ex Royal Australian Air Force(RAAF) helicopter and was manufactured in 1984. The aircraft remained with the Australian Defence Force until 2002 and has since moved to commercial aviation activities. The helicopter is currently based in the region of Victoria, Australia.
