THE PROJECT>

Generation Global is proud to provide ongoing seating support to an American airline with a fleet of Bombardier CRJ-900 aircraft. Our service includes the replacement of seat dress covers and cushions for both J-class and Y-class pax seating. Keeping these sizable planes outfitted is no easy task - the standard layout (LOPA) of a CRJ-900 includes 70 main cabin pax seats and nine business class pax seats.

The main seat type in a CRJ-900 is the 4/Flight (Zodiac) seat. Generally, these planes’ seating layout is evenly split, with two seats either side of a center aisle. Seat covers are leather but sport laminated faces. The colorways of these seats were made to match our clients’ brand colors. Each seat features navy leather on its base and back and grey leather on its headrest. Business-class seats are differentiated from the rest via a red strip along their tops and red double-stitching along their headrests.

The J-class (i.e., business class) seats OEM is Zodiac. Three rows of these seats are configured with an offset aisle - for each row, two seats are on one side with a single seat on the other. The J-class seat covers are manufactured in charcoal leather and, like the Y-class seats, have laminated faces. Their dress cover sets are composed of four parts: a base cover, a seat backrest cover, a horse collar cover, and a headrest.
