C172 Interior

THE PROJECT >

This project included supplying an interior kit for a Cessna 172 aircraft. These parts were purchased using Generation Global’s online shop and qualified for free shipping anywhere globally. The online seat configurator allows customers to design their interior including selecting leather colours, stitching, piping and quilting options. The seats are completed in ‘Charcoal Grey’ (ADI-1121)  aviation leather. The centre inserts are used to make a statement with ‘Diamond’ (SA001) quilting on perforated leather. The quilting thread was a contrasting ‘White’ (ADI-1021)  colour. The contrasting white thread is also used on the outer seams to create a feature. The Cessna logo has been embroidered into all the seat backs including the rear bench seat in full colour.

The side wall trim panel upholstery is broken up into three different sections/materials with linear lines that are mirrored on each side and follow the line of sight. The bottom section is manufactured from a dark charcoal ‘Blackcity’ cut pile carpet with matching leather edging on the door surrounds. The main section is manufactured in a lighter ‘Titanium Grey’ (ADI-1231) leather to lighten the cabin. The centre section is manufactured from a perforated leather in ‘Charcoal Grey’ to match the seats. 

The glare shield cover is manufactured from quality aviation leather and is shaped to fit the curved nature of the dash. The leading edge is stitched with decorate double stitching in the white colour.
