THE PROJECT >

This Cessna 177 Cardinal interior project was a complete rework of the interior leaving only the existing plastics remaining untouched. The full extent of the interior refurbishment included the new seat covers and cushions, new floor coverings, wall linings, handles, and controls. The aircraft was completed at Generation Global’s Nelson facility where the aircraft was stripped, the interior refurbished, and re-installed. The interior parts are available on Generation Global’s online shop as a kit.

The project included two single bucket seats and a rear bench seat refurbished in charcoal grey aviation leather (ADI-1121). The kit includes new seat diaphragms and foam cushions. The seat cover design featured perforated inserts and decorative stitching to match the sidewall colours. The front single seats feature an embossed Cessna logo on the upper backrest. The sidewall trims, main section, were completed in synthetic leather (Athena). The centre section was matched to the seats including perforation and the lower sections in a cut pile nylon charcoal carpet (Zimmer) to match the main flooring carpet. The lower sidewall carpet sections include a concealed pocket. The armrests and details are covered with charcoal grey leather to match the seats. Click here to see full photos & summary.
