Cessna 182A Skylane

This project involved Generation Global supplying new upholstery for a Cessna 182A Skylane. The interior included the pilot and co pilot seats, the auxiliary second row dickie seats , headlining and carpets. These parts are available on the Generation Global website.

The seat upholstery was manufactured in aviation leather. The colours were Lead Grey (ADI-1111) for the main colour and Ancient Grey (ADI-1151) perforated (SP-1) insert panels. The inserts were also quilted with the ‘Double Diamond’ (SA005) design in matching thread. Other features include piping on the outer seams and the Cessna Logo embossed onto the leather. 

The floorcoverings were manufactured from heavy duty cut-pile carpets in the colour Zimmer (WN-120). The edges were bound with a matching mesh binding. The floorcoverings included hardwearing heel mats  which dome into place to protect the high wear areas where the pilot and co-pilots feet rest.

The suspended headlining was manufactured from a foam backed flat-knit fabric material. The headlining is designed to fit the fuselage using shaped sections and has ten pockets for the bows used to suspend it when fitted to the airframe. The headlining also features two hidden zips within the headlining to provide access behind the headlining for maintenance purposes.
