THE PROJECT>

This client’s Cessna 205 was in a poor state, having had minimal maintenance for 18 years prior to our team at Generation Global getting to work on it. A relatively rare model, only 600 Cessna 205’s were produced, and this was one of the last to come off the line before the company replaced the model with the Cessna 206. Our team members rolled up their sleeves and went to work on this aircraft, refurbishing linings, carpets, furnishings, and more.

We provided and installed white, fabric-ribbed headlining (F02) for this aircraft. The plastic linings on the upper window trims we provided were wrapped with a bright Arctic vinyl. The lower sidewalls, meanwhile, were made from a white vinyl called Ghost, which handsomely accented the lead grey leather used on the seating.

We used ash carpets for this aircrafts flooring. That carpeting was also incorporated onto the bases of the sidewalls. Each carpeting section had black mesh binding on both its outer edges and the edges adjoining the seat tracks.

Our interior furnishing work also included an upgrade of all this aircraft’s seats. Our team repainted the frames of these seats, which have a non-articulating design, in satin black. Then, we went to work adding new diaphragms and cushions. The seat covers were made from lead grey leather (ADI-1111). The inserts on the seats, meanwhile, sported perforated leather. All stitchwork was done with rich, blue-hued thread.
