Classic Cessna C172

THE PROJECT >

This project involved Generation Global completing an interior refit for a Cessna 172 aircraft. The interior overhaul included stripping the seats and rebuilding from the frame up plus new carpets and sidewall trims. All the parts of this interior are available on Generation Global’s online shop.

The seat dress covers were manufactured in Rye Beige (ADI 4221) aviation leather and the centre inserts were perforated with perforation (SP1). The upper backrests featured the Cessna logo embroidered into the leather. The rear seat was a bench seat with split backrest configuration.

The sidewall trims are comprised of three different elements in longitudinal lines down the aircraft. The main material is in a beige (Dune) synthetic leather, with dark grey leather armrest sections and a dark beige carpet (Dune) in the lower kick area. The kick panels forward of the ‘A’ pillar have pockets that slip in behind the carpet section. The door pull-handles used to close the door are also matched to the armrest colour.
