SUMMARY >

This AS350 helicopter already had a Generation Global interior fitted but the operator wanted to add new floor coverings and install new ceiling inserts and a rear bulkhead kit.

The new floor coverings fitted to the helicopter were utility vinyl flooring. The vinyl floor is a hard-wearing waterproof product with a raised penny-shaped grip surface. The color was black. The floor design is cut out from digital patterns held by Generation Global and cut out using a CNC laser cutter which gives nice straight lines. In this case, adjustments were made to accommodate the aftermarket fitted dual seat. The flooring was installed into the helicopter and secured using the door sill plates.

The ceiling panels and rear bulkhead panel were cut from a firm closed-cell foam material and covered in charcoal grey synthetic leather. The panels are inserted into the ceiling shapes and help absorb cabin noise when flying.

The cabin interior plastic linings were painted in matt black paint to help these parts disappear in the cabin. The parts painted included the door panels, ceiling liner, rear fold-down seat frame, and instrument panel. The instrument panel had new placards applied.
