THE PROJECT>
For this project, our team furnished and personally installed new flooring for a client’s MD500 helicopter. The vinyl floor set that we used is available on our website and is suitable for C/D models - we also have another set available for E models.

The MD369/500 is renowned as a light utility aircraft - it is a hardy workhorse of a helicopter that is able to handle high payloads while maintaining excellent maneuverability. This is why C/D models often feature durable vinyl flooring, which is suited to just about any environment.
For this project, we used black Genflor (MW-200) flooring. Velcro on its underside allows it to attach to the airframe. This flooring’s surface, meanwhile, is textured with raised circular grips that help provide extra traction.
The cabin in the MD500 is divided into forward and aft areas. Inserts are typically fitted into the base of the cabin divider in the aft cabin. The Generation Global team made custom changes to the flooring in this aircraft to accommodate its extended center dash.
