MD500E interior kit

This project included supplying an interior kit for an MD500E helicopter. The kit included the supply of fwd and aft seating. These parts are available on the website including the fwd seating without the center dickie seat and the alternative Generation I aft seating style.

The seating in the fwd cabin is the Generation I seating which is comprised of three seats- the pilot, the co-pilot, and the dickie seat in-between. The seat covers and cushions are supplied as a kit and designed to be fitted to the OEM seat shells. The existing covers and cushions are to be stripped from the shell and the new upholstery fitted.

The aft seats are the Generation II seats and are stand-alone cushions that velcro onto the airframe. The rear backrest cushions have a shaped filler cushion to fit against the aft bulkhead and pack the backrest cushion out to the correct angle for the passengers.  

The seat dress covers are made from charcoal grey leather (ADI-1121) and have silver decorative stitching. The MD logo is embroidered on the seat backrests in matching silver thread. The seat inserts leather has been perforated and has three horizontal feature lines stitched into the panel.
