Military-style mesh slings

This project includes Generation Global supplying and fitting replacement mesh slings to the rear seats in an MD 520N helicopter. The mesh slings for an MD 500 series helicopter are available upon request while the Generation I and II aft seats are available for purchase on the Generation Global website.

The seating in the rear cabin of an MD 520N helicopter comes in two different configurations. The first configuration is the executive seating which is a framed seat with seat cushions and covers. The second design is the tubular framed seat with the military-style mesh slings as is found in this helicopter.

The seat slings are manufactured with a binding that is used to tension the sling onto the seat backs and bases. The slings wrap around the frames with flaps that have eyelets with the braided cord for attaching and tensioning up the covers.

The sling itself is made using a nylon mesh material in the color black. The seat frame has been refinished in black to match the slings.
