Piper PA-38 Interior in Black and White

SUMMARY >

This project was a Generation Global website order for the supply of an interior kit for a Piper PA-38 aircraft. The kit included new seat covers, cushions, armrests, a replacement glare shield cover, and new floor coverings. These parts were fitted by the client to their aircraft.

The aircraft's seats were refurbished with new seat covers and cushions. The installation process includes removing the old seat covers and cushions, gluing the new seat cushions onto the seat diaphragm and frame, and then fitting the new seat covers over the new cushions. The seat covers were manufactured in black leather (ADI-1091) and included detailing in the center inserts.

The leather in the seat cover inserts was perforated with SP-5 perforation pattern and stitched with the diamond quilting pattern (SA001). Ancient grey stitching was used for the quilting as well as the double stitching around the outer seams. The Piper logo was embroidered on the seat backs in ancient grey stitching.

The other parts supplied include the door armrests which were supplied in matching black leather. The glare shield cover supplied was a black vinyl cover that is fitted to the glare shield and comes with double stitching on the front edge. The floor coverings supplied included three sections in blackcity (WN-120) carpet and bound edges. The carpet sections were backed with underlay on the underside and heel mats on the high-wear areas in the footwell.
