R22 Interior

THE PROJECT >

This project included supplying an interior kit for a Robinson R22 Helicopter. These parts were purchased using Generation Global’s online shop and qualified for free shipping anywhere globally. The online seat configurator allows customers to design their interior including selecting leather colours, stitching, piping and quilting options. This seat covers were manufactured in ‘Pearl’ (ADI-4071) aviation leather. The centre inserts are used to make a statement with ‘Cream Beige’ (JLS-347) leather with a (SP-1) perforated pattern. The double stitching on outer seams is matched to the leather colour. The R22 logo has been embossed into both the seat backs.

The floor coverings are manufactured from a cut pile nylon carpet in colour ‘Shoreline’ (WN-120). The carpet pieces are computer cut and edged to fit into the respective sections of helicopter floor and lower sidewalls. This helicopter does not include floor heaters, but this option can be selected at the time of ordering.

The headlining and bulkhead assemblies are computer cut components manufactured from specialist aviation grade foam. The foam is used for both noise deadening and for head impact protection. The foam is wrapped in a thin ‘Ivory’ (HL-103) coloured brushed fabric.

The client is an approved Robinson Helicopter Service Centre located in Toowoomba, Australia. The company provides maintenance, full overhauls, annual and periodic inspections to both fixed wing and rotary aircraft along with operating a variety of aircraft, predominantly fixed wing.
