R44 Kit

THE PROJECT >

This project involved Generation Global supplying Robinson R44 seat upholstery, carpets, headlining and rear bulkhead. These parts were purchased on Generation Global’s website and shipped for free to the client in the United States. A range of other parts including crash rail covers, control boots and door panel inserts can be purchase from Generation Global’s online-shop.

The seats are Generation II style seats and include cushions and covers. The Generation II design is similar to the current OEM design with a more rounded look and can be fitted to all models of helicopter. The seats were manufactured from Ancient Grey (ADI-1151) aviation leather. The floor coverings are in the darker Peat (WN-120) coloured carpets and included a underlay backing. The carpets included cut outs for floor mounted heaters. The headlining was manufactured in Ancient Grey headlining fabric (ADI - 1151). The bulkhead has cut outs to accommodate the air-conditioning and cut-outs around the hand holds to assist when climbing into the helicopter. 

THE CLIENT>

The client is a Robinson authorised service centre for clients around the world and have the sole rights in some regions. The client specialises exclusively in Robinson R22, R44, and R66 helicopters. Services include providing aircraft servicing, maintenance and overhauls for many clients including the overhaul requirements for the largest privately owned fleet of R22, R44 and R66 helicopters in the world.
