Replacement seats for a Hughes 269 utility helicopter

THE PROJECT>

One of our North American clients recently used our Generation Global website to order three-piece seating for their Hughes 269/300 helicopter. Although one of the smaller helicopters on the market, the interior seat upholstery is a very smart design and fits very nicely into the cabin surroundings.

Each of the main seats, which are composed of separate base and back pieces, comes pre-fitted with cushions. The seat backrest upholstery for the center seat was supplied for the client to fit as the backrest part is actually part of a built-in column behind the seat. The two outer seats have composite backs and are ergonomically shaped.

The seats were ordered with black leather (ADI-1091) covers and Genlite foam - the foam a PU foam which is super comfortable yet supportive for the long hours that the seats used. The seats are all finished with matching black stitching, and the two outer seats sport perforated leather center inserts. The perforation gives the seats a classy look while providing enhanced breathability.
