Robinson R44 Helicopter interior kit

THE PROJECT >

This project involved Generation Global supplying an interior kit for a Robinson R44 Helicopter to a client in Australia. The kit included new seat covers, cushions, floor coverings, headlining assembly and rear bulkhead upholstery. The interior is certificated through a CASA EO approval (ESE-R44-25-002) . The seats are ‘Generation II’ design and manufactured in Charcoal Grey (ADI-1121) aviation leather with matching stitching. The design was simplistic with the centre insert panel kept flat without any contrasting colours, perforations, or quilting.

The headlining and bulkhead panels are upholstered in a grey to compliment the seating. The headlining fabric choice was Geneva Grey (HL-108) and the design includes cut-outs for hand-holds and air-conditioning. The floor coverings are manufactured in a dark grey (Zimmer WN-120) nylon cut pile carpet. The design included cut-outs for floor heaters on both left and right hand sides.

THE CLIENT>

The client is a helicopter charter and training company based in Caboolture near Brisbane, Australia. The charter work is predominantly servicing the tourism industry in the sub-tropical Brisbane and Sunshine Coast region. The company also provide maintenance on many helicopters, predominantly five seats or less.
