THE PROJECT>

The Beech 1900, manufactured by the Beech Aircraft Corporation from the 80's through the 00's, is a 19-seat passenger plane that is also sometimes used to carry freight. For this project, we supplied cabin and cockpit furnishings - including crew and pax seating, fitted cushions and covers, and carpeting -  for a client’s Beech 1900. All parts were provided with EASA certification, which is validated to TCCA specifications.

The passenger seat covers for this Beech 1900 are of the Generation PS-140 design, which is a more modern-looking upholstery design than the OEM design. The seat covers were manufactured using Ancient Grey leather (ADI-1151). Stitchwork was done in a matching color so that it’d blend in with the seats. The back covers attach to each seat with velcro, while the bottom covers are fitted over the seat bottom cushions.

The carpeting we provided was custom cut according to drawings provided by the client. Each carpet section was cut out of a 'Slate' coloured aviation carpet, and a matching overlocking material was used to complete the edges. The Beech 1900 has a narrow, carpeted aisle and small sections of carpet interspersed between its seat tracks. Carpet segments also extends partially up the sidewall.

The two crew seats were manufactured with grey Oxford Sheepskin on the faces and Ancient Grey (ADI-1151) leather on the side borders to match the rest of the plane’s seats. This same leather was also used on the armrests and on the pockets located on the rear of each seatback.

THE CLIENT>

Our client for this project performs FBO maintenance. While they’re based in Canada, they provide services throughout much of North America. They have deep expertise with over 124 different aircraft models, and they offer a wide variety of maintenance-related services to their clients. We appreciated the chance to help them with this interior project, and we look forward to future projects.
