Striking Airbus AS355 Interior

This project included Generation Global supplying a new interior kit for an Airbus AS355 helicopter. The kit included new crew seat, dual seat and rear pax seat upholstery, new floorcoverings and new ceiling and bulkhead linings. The interior colourings and design were customised to match the bold exterior paint scheme of the helicopter. The parts that were supplied in this kit are available on Generation Global’s online shop where you can stylise your own custom interior.

The seats supplied were the Generation III style seating. The dress covers were manufactured using Black (ADI-1091) aviation leather with the insert sections perforated (SP-5) and piping lines in Delta Blue (SF637) leather for effect. Decorative stitching was also used to effect, with seams and the diamond (SA002) quilting pattern in thread matching the Delta blue leather.

The floorcoverings for this kit were manufactured from Zimmer (WN-120) carpet, which is a dark charcoal colour cut pile carpet, matching well with the black seating. The floor coverings were edged with black mesh binding and had heel mats fitted to protect the carpet in the high wear areas around the controls.

The ceiling linings comprise of six individual panels that fit into the ceiling inserts in the headlining of the AS355 helicopter. The rear bulkhead lining is a one-piece part that fits to the upper section of the rear bulkhead. The linings are wrapped in a white (ADI-1021) leather to blend with the plastic trim in the helicopter cabin.
