SUMMARY >

This project included the refurbishment of the interior seating and the supply of new vinyl floor coverings for a client's Cessna A185F aircraft. The client operates a fleet of aircraft to provide access to out-of-the-way locations that are difficult to access by road and specialize in landing on remote airstrips with the tail-dragging A185F being the best in class.

The seating in the aircraft is the 1975-86 seat design and has two front single seats, two middle row single auxiliary seats, and one bench seat in the third row. The seat frames were stripped back and repainted in black.

The seats had new diaphragms stretched over the frames and new cushions fitted. The seat dress covers were manufactured using lead grey leather (ADI-1111). The seat dress covers were stitched with matching stitching and the decorative seams followed the same design from the crew seats through to the back row.

The new replacement vinyl flooring was supplied to replace the existing carpets. The heavy-duty vinyl is better suited to the environment that the aircraft operates in. The flooring was the black Genflor (MW-200) coin matting. The edges of the flooring were bound and velcro was supplied for fitting to the airframe.
