Robinson R66 Interior

This project included supplying a new interior for a Robinson R66 helicopter. Some interior parts were supplied for the client to install such as the headlining and carpets while the seat covers were fitted to the OEM frames by Generation Global on behalf of the client.

The R66 is a five-seater helicopter with composite bases for all the seats. The new seat covers were made in charcoal grey leather (ADI-1121) in the Generation II design. The covers have flat inserts instead of the pinched design. Also in the charcoal grey leather are the crash rail pads which are a padded protective layer that wraps around the rail behind the seats.

The floor coverings supplied for the R66 were carpets manufactured in Genflor zimmer (WN-120) with black binding around the edges that are exposed and not caught under the surrounds. The floor coverings also have a protective perspex heel mat below the pedals due to it being a high-wear area.

The interior lining for the helicopter included the headlining and rear bulkhead lining. For this client, a custom request was accommodated to have the bulkhead and headlining in two different colors. The bulkhead is made using the Geneva black (HL-109) fabric and the headlining in Geneva grey (HL-108) fabric.
