As aircraft interior seat designers, Generation Global have been part of this trend over the last decade as airlines have requested lighter and lighter seats to save fuel burn. Obviously, the seat manufacturers are building seats to meet the requests of the airlines, but the interesting question is, are the airlines building seats to meet the requests of their customers- the flying public?

IS IT BACK TO FOCUSING ON COMFORT? >

Agreeably a lot can be done through technology and design to reduce weight without compromising comfort but at what point does this strategy impinge on comfort and where does this trajectory stop? Is this an indication that customers have had enough and are speaking out on social media and will this be the start of a swing back to focusing on comfort?
